Event: Race, Desegregation and the Promise of Equity

New York University's Metropolitan Center for Urban Education and New York University School of Law are hosting a unique discussion for the NYU community entitled Race, Desegregation, and the Promise of Equity: A Colloquium on the Supreme Court Case Parents Involved in Community Schools v. Seattle School District Et Al.

The event is taking place at Greenberg Lounge, on the first floor of Vanderbilt Hall, from 4-6 pm on October 24, 2007.

Dr. Arlene Ackerman, Retired School Superintendent from San Francisco, CA, Director of the Urban Education Leadership Program at Teacher's College,
Dr. Maria Goodloe-Johnson, Superintendent, Seattle Public Schools

The event will be moderated by Dr. Pedro Noguera, Professor at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, and Executive Director of the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education
