Hey Big Stream-ers,
Join FFiR Brad Lewis, Jo and Benny for a discussion of this big idea! Scroll down for the details!
At the event, we will listen to a radio interview with economist Robert Reich, who is the author of the book "Supercapitalism: The Transformation of Business, Democracy, and Everyday Life." We will then discuss the conundrums of supercapitalism, such as why we love low prices but frown at the things companies do to get us those good deals.
Many people feel that this is the single most important issue of our times because its effects spread out into everything else that matters. Unless we can be smart about the conundrums of supercapitalism, we can say goodbye (or perhaps even "good buy") not only to our environment but also our democracy and even our capacity for free thought.
The event will last for an hour and requires no preparation - except an inquisitive mind! Pizza will be served.
Monday 17th September - 8.30 pm - Apartment 412
Hope to see you there
